AUCKLAND - CUSTOMER SERVICE ENGINEERS
This position exists in order to offer the following post sales services to the customer base: 1. To serves as the front line support for handling customer support services. 2. Responsible for all remote activities related to system administration, coordination with end users and monitoring system activity 3. Supporting and assisting higher level maintenance personnel in resolving malfunctions / system problems 4. Maintaining client systems whereby failing components and elements, (hardware or software) are replaced or repaired, again with minimal disruption. 5. Responsibility for system maintenance, analysis of alarms, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems up to level of Field Replaceable Unit swapping and O&M screens. Otherwise, the person is responsible for escalating the problem handling to higher support level. Skill Required : The engineer will as a minimum have support and administrative experience of UNIX and the principles underlying TCP/IP. Other technical skills may include experience of a relational database, signaling protocols (i.e. SS7) and Intelligent Network concepts and elements, optional knowledge with associated applications such as Pre-Paid, Calling Card and Short Messaging.
